When you think about your destiny have you ever just wanted to get started right now? Seriously, who has time to wait, let’s just get started with it already!
Go ahead and read 1 Samuel 16:14-23 and journal your thoughts
We’ll that’s a bit awkward, isn’t it? The Spirit of the Lord left Saul and went upon David, and then Saul can only be calmed when David plays his harp. Now in these verses there is a ton of deeper questions we can get into, but we need to stay focused.
When we’re talking about our destiny, sometimes we may have to wait. The Spirit of the Lord is on David, and he knew that he was going to be the next king, but he’s not yet. David has to wait. Can you relate to this? When have there been times in your life when you’ve had to wait for something?
When we begin to step into our destiny we need to understand that like David, there are going to be times when we are going to have to wait. Problem is we may not even understand why, and all we can do is wait.
Today pray that God would help you through those times when you are waiting for the next step into your destiny.
